Further, according to the same research on a newer model, the cause of cancer is initiated by disrupting the communication between cells that is essential to healthy cell turnover due to low vitamin D and calcium levels. In other words, the cause of cancer starts with decoupling of healthy cells; however, vitamin D prevents decoupling of these cells in the early stage of cancer.
